Arms sales 'not for crowd control'
In response to comments made by Kate Allen, UK director of Amnesty International (Write Back, May 24), I'd like to point out that the new arms sales agreed between the US and Bahrain are for Bahrain's external defence capabilities. They would not include items that could be used for crowd-control.
