Article hits right note with great memories

Published 28/04/2016

READING Eamonn McCann's article on his early rock heroes (Saturday Review, April 16), I was very pleased to see that he named Charlie Gracie among them - I thought I was the only who remembered him.

He was my first hero - on a 78rpm I was given. I unearthed The Best Of Charlie on eBay a few months ago.

I also went to see Eddie Cochran and ended up living in Chippenham, where Eddie died, and have passed the spot countless times.
