Artwork senseless, just like MLA's praise

Published 07/10/2016

Foyle MLA Eamonn McCann welcomed a photograph of Christ bathed in urine to the Void Gallery in Derry, describing it as a "beautiful, profound, thought-provoking work... that I take to refer to the way everything sacred is traduced by the effluent of the soulless society".

What does he mean and is he serious? The 'work', in my opinion, is like Mr McCann's comment - void of any sense, or artistic merit.
