Asbestos is still a real danger

FOLLOWING a recent case at Bedlington Magistrates Court, in which a £22,000 fine was imposed for breaches of asbestos safety laws, I would like to remind readers of the dangers of asbestos.

While it does not cause any harm left undisturbed, asbestos can cause issues if damaged when removed.

Health complications caused can include terminal mesothelioma and lung cancer.

If your readers have any doubts, or concerns, they should visit the UK Asbestos Training Association website – www.ukata.org.uk.
