Band's acts insult to Protestantism

Published 16/07/2015

I write as a Presbyterian minister dismayed by the attitudes displayed by those who claim to be defending the Reformed faith.

The behaviour of the band outside St Patrick's Church on the Twelfth was a breach of the Third Commandment: "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain." It is the view of many that "Protestantism" in Belfast has lost its theological and biblical moorings. This only brings the Christian faith into disrepute.
