Belfast really disappointed on New Year's Eve

Published 06/01/2014

WELL, Belfast really excelled itself on New Year's Eve. It spent millions promoting the city during the year; come along and enjoy the craic, it said.

So we decided to book a hotel to see what all the fuss was about.

Well, to our surprise, all we got was a dead city. Famous pub on the Golden Mile closed. The pub next door blaring Sky Sports.

We ended up back at the hotel, watching the great craic from capital cities around the globe on the BBC. We will not be back and will not be promoting this boring city to our friends. So sad.
