Book to tell tales of mixed marriages

Published 12/01/2011

There are just two weeks to the deadline for couples to volunteer for the Northern Ireland Mixed Marriage Association's (NIMMA) book about mixed marriage in the province.

The paperback, financed by The Big Lottery Fund, will give at least six couples the chance to tell - in their own words - how they were affected when they put love before traditional allegiances.

Under the working title, Mixed Emotions, the book is being produced and published by NIMMA.

The project is about creating tolerance and acceptance of mixed marriage and increasing awareness of it. We propose to use the book as part of an educational programme involving local schools.

Couples interested in taking part in the project, and all enquiries will be treated in strictest confidence, should contact NIMMA on Belfast 02890 235444 or e-mail
