BRA, not RBAI, is our oldest school

EDDIE McIlwaine describes Royal Belfast Academical Institution as the oldest school in Belfast (News, January 28). This is not correct.

The oldest school in Belfast is Belfast Royal Academy, founded as the Belfast Academy in 1785.

The school was originally situated in Academy Street – hence its name.
