Bring our listed buildings back up to standard

Published 21/08/2015

It is good news that the famous Floral Hall is to be restored. In the meantime Belfast City Council is looking at getting the outside of the building painted - and not before time - as it is now almost black and green with moss.

This building is the first thing visitors and tourists see when they enter Belfast Zoo - not a pretty sight.

Another example is the Crumlin Road Courthouse. Again, tourists visit Crumlin Road Gaol, then exit the Crumlin Road to view the burnt-out shell of the courthouse.

With so many improvements around the city it is a shame that both these listed buildings have been allowed to deteriorate for so long.

Let's see something done about it asap.
