Budget store is needed here

Just when can we expect parity of esteem with the UK mainland and Irish Republic? In other words: when is Aldi coming?

Surely, now our neighbours over the border are coming to the North (due to rising prices) the writing should be on the wall for Aldi to get their finger out and start opening stores up here.

They are good at using this part of the world for storage facilities and suppliers, so why not shops?

Why does nobody (ie: our well-paid politicians) challenge them on this?

There's a recession going on and people in Northern Ireland do not enjoy as high an income as their neighbours on the UK mainland, so there is surely a greater need for us to have a better choice of budget food shopping.

Next time you see our MLAs fighting on Spotlight or Hearts and Minds phone or text and ask that question - that should shut them up.
