Buoys prove a real city eyesore

Published 10/03/2014

CAN anyone tell me who is responsible for the three big buoys which adorn Cathedral Square in Belfast? They are badly in need of either restoration, or, preferably, removal.

I rang the City Hall last week in a fit of public concern, but was transferred from department to department and nobody really knew what I was talking about.

Eventually, someone said he would try to find out and ring me back, but never did.

I don't think many people would miss them.
