Bus lanes have been a disaster for Belfast
I note the Roads Department claim that the "road network is operating at capacity and there are limited opportunities to increase it".
It is obvious that the road capacity is significantly reduced by bus lanes on Belfast's arterial routes.
Just this week, your paper reported a 22% increase in congestion since 2012.
In addition to the countless hours wasted, traffic congestion increases pollution levels.
Is it not time for the department to revisit this failed strategy?
