Cable epitomises democracy deniers
I am increasingly irritated by those who appear to despise democracy and the right of people, electorally, to express an opinion, particularly, in relation to the EU.
Sir Vince Cable is the latest to join the "opinion police" brigade. He argues that Brexit-voting "older people" have imposed their will on the young generation, many of whom were too lazy to vote in the referendum.
Cable appears to suggest that people over a certain age should have suppressed their own sincerely held Brexit views.
Additionally, they should have speculated about what young people's ideas were and voted accordingly.
That is the most unintelligent thought I have heard in a long, long time. Sadly, he is not alone among the political thugs now emerging both here and in Europe, where the barbed wire, keeping out refugees, is a potent symbol of the hypocrisy at the heart of the EU.
