The cardinals' papal choice in Jorge Mario Bergoglio cannot be described as anything but inspired.
He is a choice that cannot but satisfy all facets of Catholicism. The conservatives will be pleased with his reaffirmation of Catholic doctrine on key ethical issues, such as abortion and euthanasia, while the more liberal wing should be satisfied with his liberal-theological stances. Catholicism's future under his leadership can be nothing but bright.
