Charity that cares for carers

Do Belfast Telegraph readers know that there are 750,000 people with Alzheimer's or dementia in the UK? This number is set to rise to more than a million people with dementia within 10 years.

Caring for a loved one with dementia can be a lonely, stressful experience. So many carers are in need of respite. I work for a charity called Vitalise. Each year thousands of carers enjoy breaks at our respite centres. For information tel (0845) 345 1970 or e-mail bookings@vitalise.org.uk.
