Children and moral values

Published 04/04/2013

David Ford's protest at the absurd posturing of the various 'republican' dissident groups and their contemptible exploitation of children is praiseworthy but I think he would baulk at its wider implications.

Most of the ideas underpinning our social and 'moral' values are injected in childhood, well before the child develops a defensive intellectual shield against what is often the most outrageous ideological nonsense.
