Christ's deity explained by Holy Trinity

Published 14/11/2011

So your correspondent William Burns thinks he has disproved the deity of Christ. In fact, he has only shown his own lack of understanding of the triune nature of God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - and the incarnation; God the Son becoming man in order to redeem sinners.

All the verses he quotes can be properly understood in the light of these two great truths.

Mr Burns ignores the many scriptures which prove the deity of Christ.

He is God and created all things (John 1:1-3). He claimed equality with God the Father (John 5:18-23). In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Col. 2:9). He is the Alpha and Omega, the first and last (Rev. 1:17; 22:13-16).

Many other references could be cited, but space would not permit.
