Concern over fracking should be considered

I hope that Liam Clarke, like Sammy Wilson, in his support of fracking for Northern Ireland has properly considered the situation in America.

Environmental and health concerns have been repeatedly raised by a number of respected groups to the extent that a moratorium is currently under way on any further drilling in New York state.

Lack of credible state regulation and secrecy by drilling companies has lead to many questions that are mostly unanswered.

Maybe our local politicians should wait and see the result of America's Environmental Protection Agency study due out next year before rushing in to something many in Fermanagh and elsewhere may regret.
