Critics should defend unborn

Further to the publication of the Murphy report on child abuse, I read and I listened to the torrents of criticism directed at both Church and State, by the media, by some southern politicians, by some of our clergy, and by members of the public.

This was very well deserved criticism with which I fully agree. However I find it very strange indeed, that these same critics are, and have been so silent about the fate of thousands of babies slaughtered every year through abortion, and never even given the chance to be born.

Perhaps this is not considered to be abuse by the learned critics, or should I just call them hypocrites.
