Cycle race road chaos will be complete pain

Published 03/06/2016

Once again we have to suffer road closures this Sunday, June 5, when some cyclists will take over our public roads. I live on the Ballygowan Road and this is basically closed all day.

We have to use various small back roads, which cannot handle the amount of traffic on that day and thus are quite dangerous.

Why can the organisers not plan their route to use wider roads? They could use one lane of the carriageway and let cars proceed as usual. Gran Fondo, I'm not fond o' you. Don't hurry back.
