I refer to the letter by Cyclist from Co Armagh (Write Back, April 27), in which he/she complains about the lack of respect that drivers have for cyclists.
I am sure that everything in this letter is correct, but cyclists also have to show consideration.
When I drive into work, I come off the M2 at Duncrue Street and nip up past the Sinclair Seamen's Church and Harbour Commissioner's Office onto Oxford Street.
There is a cycle lane from the harbour office to the Obel Building but almost every morning I have to overtake cyclists on this stretch because they are not using the cycle lane. Why will cyclists not use this cycle lane that has been provided for them?
