Dana's protests insult the Irish

Published 11/10/2011

I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing that our self-appointed queen of heaven on earth would fade into the sunset of obscurity; once again her bleatings of self-righteous indignation at being exposed by the nasty media ring hollow.

Like Dana, I was born and raised in the north and I also lived in the US for nigh on 16 years, during which time I became eligible to obtain US citizenship.

I declined due to the wording in the oath of allegiance, which alluded to foreswearing allegiance to any other country.

For Dana to state that somebody told her it was any different is to my mind a gross insult to the Irish people and the office she aspires to.
