Deadly risk of unleashing the drones of war

THE PSNI is to buy nine drones for the huge security operation at the G8 summit in Fermanagh in June and, afterwards, to combat terrorism and crime.

When will we see the first armed drones in Northern Ireland airspace? When will the first innocent person be killed here by an armed drone?

Do we really believe this will never happen in Northern Ireland? There's more to drones than just saving on the costs that arise from the deployment of helicopters.
