Through the Belfast Telegraph, I would ask the Irish Football Association to consider the following proposal:
That the traditional Boxing Day football matches on Friday, December 26, be put back to Saturday, December 27, this year — the normal day for matches.
This would give players, officials, PSNI, spectators and all others concerned an extra day with their families.
As this is a one off, please give it some thought.
