Delight over RUC Reserve's money victory

I HAVE written to the Press on previous occasions in relation to the RUC GC Reserve. I am delighted to see that the gratuity campaign has come to an end.

The fact that various Government departments have made a hash of it does not surprise me. My late aunt was extremely proud to have been a part-time Reservist and I have her medals proudly displayed on my wall.

I also have her cap and an RUC plaque in memory of her and the many other brave souls who served with this fine force.

I write to congratulate all of those who were involved in the fight for this money

The proud name of the RUC GC and the Reserve, specifically, is untarnished and shines proudly because of these individuals' endeavours.
