Did Sinn Fein shake hands on MI5 silence?

Sinn Fein's Declan Kearney complains about unaccountability of MI5 (Comment, December 14).

So why did SF support the introduction of 500 British agents? What deals were made? Was it a vow that intelligence is buried beyond prosecution use in the MI5 HQ? If true, does unaccountability affect the Ombudsman?
