Did Villiers' stance on Brexit help democracy?
Did the office of the previous Secretary of State have any influence on suppressing circulation of the highly negative Stormont report on the possible effects on Northern Ireland of Brexit?
It is unsettling to know we had a Secretary of State, Theresa Villiers, looking after the interests of Northern Ireland, who was a prominent member of the Yes campaign - a view decisively rejected by the voters.
Is this real democracy? I am trying (unsuccessfully) to think of a modern political parallel.
