On the eve of the Snow Patrol homecoming concert in Bangor, local journalist Robert Gibson, writing in Friday's 24/7 section of the Belfast Telegraph, purports to examine Bangor's strong links with musicians.
However, he failed to make any mention of certain other Bangor musicians playing at Ward Park last Saturday - such as the up and coming band Kowalski, hotly tipped by Gary Lightbody himself to go far. Mr Gibson asks " why so many performers feel the need to get out of the town and why, when they do so, the big breaks tend to follow?".
Maybe it's got something to do with the obvious lack of support and recognition from some of their own 'local' journalists!
