Double standard over stockpiles?

NOW that Syria is offloading its chemical weapons stock, it seems a propitious moment for Israel, Britain, and the USA to offload theirs.

According to ABC News, the US has 3,000 tons of stockpiled chemical weapons. The US maintains that it is in the process of destroying its chemical weapons but doesn't expect to complete destruction until 2023.

Hopefully, any delay in Syria's destruction of its chemical weapons won't be used as a context for the US to start another war.

The double standards of this would be too much – even for the US – and surely transparent enough for the mainstream media not to ignore.
