DUP is nothing but predictable
Men make up less than half of our citizens, but in the forthcoming general election all 16 DUP candidates are men. And eight of the candidates belong to the Free Presbyterian Church, which recorded a membership of 10,068 in the 2011 census. And three-quarters of those standing for the party are in the Orange Order, which accounts for less than 1% of the population.
Some might think it bizarre that there is the prospect that this demonstrably unrepresentative group of men may secure as many as nine of Northern Ireland's Westminster seats.
