Editor didn't call for Adams to go

Published 18/04/2008

In his recent column (Belfast Telegraph, April 10), Malachi O'Doherty's opening paragraph read: "When the editor of the Andersonstown News, Robin Livingstone, writing under his pseudonym Squinter, called last week for the resignation of his constituency MP, Gerry Adams, the speculation took several directions."

I have never called for the resignation of Gerry Adams and Mr O'Doherty has now acknowledged this to be the case. Given that the opening line of his column is inaccurate, I leave it to your readers to judge for themselves the validity of his subsequent points.
