Election has sorted wheat from the chaff

I would like to register my disgust at the outburst from Tom Elliott and I would have no doubt that right-thinking unionists will be disgusted at his remarks.

As a nationalist from Ardoyne I gave my No1 vote to Raymond McCord as I see him as a man fighting a very evil presence in our society and I have great admiration for him.

The next preference was for Sinn Fein, of course. While a man like Tom Elliott leads the UUP, I would never even consider voting for that party.

You would be a fool to think he would be fighting for all persuasions.

Now, maybe if you had a fairer-minded leader like Basil McCrea it might be different.

Thank God for this election which seems to have sorted out the wheat from the chaff.
