End remission

Letters to the editor should be sent to: 124-144 Royal Avenue, Belfast BT1 1EB. E-mail: writeback@belfasttelegraph.co.uk

The 50% remission for convicted prisoners could be ended in 24 hours.

There have been many examples of legislation being hurried through, if the will is there.

By doing it now it would be the Westminster Government that would have to pay and that they are unwilling to do. In fact, it seems they could not care less. I call it deceit. What are our local politicians, such as the DUP and Sinn Fein, doing about it?
