Euro issue splits the Tories too

Colin McCusker (Comment, January 26) criticises Harry Hamilton and Paula Bradshaw for leaving the UUP to join Alliance.

He criticised their decision to leave a party which is against the UK joining the euro to join a party which supports such a move.

Everyone knows the UUP's partners in crime, the Tories, are split on Europe and one of their most high profile MPs, former chancellor Kenneth Clarke, supports the UK joining the euro.
