Extra-marital sex jolly good fun

If marriage is "ordered to the procreation of children", as your correspondent Brian Rooney states (Write Back, March 12), then should those infertile through age, or medical reason, be denied it?

As for extra-marital sex, having tried it I can assure Mr Rooney it is not "shocking", it is jolly good fun. Mr Rooney can believe what he likes, but his opinions are Bronze Age superstition.

Marriage is a statement of commitment between two consenting adults. Genders are irrelevant.
