Philip McNeill (Write Back, July 24) takes exception to faith-based schools.
People of faith practice their faith in every aspect of their lives - home, family, congregation, community, school and work.
It is not merely an academic subject for instruction.
The positive discrimination inherent in faith-based schools is both lawful and necessary to ensure children, in every aspect of their lives, come to cherish and practice their faith, guided by those who cherish and practice it, also.
