Fast food litter a serious problem
How right Laurence Speight (Write Back, March 23) is about the battle with litter louts. But it's not just in the mountains - it's everywhere.
The plastic bag battle has been won, but there has been a far worse problem that seems to have been ignored - fast-food packaging.
Any place that seems to have a fast-food outlet is covered in rubbish dumped from cars.
I work in a retail park that has 20-plus litter bins in the car park, but it seems too much bother to put rubbish into bins, or take it home. People have forgotten that this is a criminal offence.
