ONCE again, our fishing fleet has endured a winter of almost constant storms, with the fleet unable to go to sea (News, February 18).
Our fisheries ministers congratulate themselves about a great deal from Europe on quota cuts, which in real terms further reduce an already restricted fishery.
With financial help now available from the EU to provide financial aid for fishermen to compensate for loss of income, why has our minister not accessed these for the fishing industry?
