Flooding chaos a total disgrace

Published 20/01/2016

AS one who has stood in 24 inches of water on farms in the Birches area of Portadown, I fully agree with J Wilson's letter (Write Back, January 18) asserting that Rivers Agency engineers don't understand basic free surface water hydraulics.

Local farmers know best what has happened to their main drains and rivers. And the failure of the Rivers Agency and DARD to manage this is a disgrace.
