Focus on what really matters

Once again our gallant politicians have managed to create another artificial stumbling block for the future of the Assembly.

Let's be frank: if policing and justice powers were devolved tomorrow it would not have the least effect on the lives of the commom man, as we all contemplate rising living costs, higher rates and increased raids from the tax man on our meagre incomes to reduce Government borrowing.

My message to the Assembly is this: focus on reducing the bureaucratic cost of running our Government machine by reducing the number of Assembly members by 50% and get on with issues which really affect people.
