For your health's sake, go veggie

A RECENT study, reported in the journal Diabetes Care, found that vegetarians are around a third less likely to get heart disease, diabetes or suffer strokes than people who eat meat.

Vegetarians have a 36% lower rate of metabolic syndrome - a combination of symptoms that lead to long-term diseases.

The study also found reducing meat consumption lowers the risk of developing these diseases.

Reducing or eliminating meat is a healthy way to lose a few pounds and reduce the risk of suffering from diet-related illnesses.
