Forget about talks - just fly the flag

Published 07/01/2013

With all due respect to the DUP, the Protestant, unionist, loyalist people do not want a consultation process at Stormont regarding the flying of the national flag. Look what happened to the consultation process in Belfast - completely ignored.

What the Protestant, unionist, loyalist people want is the national flag flying every day of the year. No discussion, no negotiation, just the flag up every day of the year.

If the present DUP MLAs are not up to the job, then resign your seats and let people in who will raise the flag over Stormont.

Also, these unionist-controlled local councils that only fly the national flag 15 days a year: surely this needs to be corrected and the flag flown every day of the year?

Again: no discussion, or negotiation. Just get the flag up.
