Former terrorists dishonoured day

Published 03/10/2012

I note that the platform party outside the City Hall on Saturday last at the Covenant celebrations included Billy Hutchinson and Edward McIlwaine; the former even spoke on the occasion. Both these individuals were members of an illegal terrorist organisation.

Sir Edward Carson and James Craig did not lead a sectarian terrorist campaign against Home Rule; neither man would have contemplated associating with such individuals. One hopes the person responsible will realise they dishonoured the memory of Carson and Craig by their actions.
