Foster doesn't speak for NI so must resign

Published 28/06/2016

Last Thursday the UK electorate voted to leave the EU. Arlene Foster revels in this outcome and has been regaling everyone with her views on the benefits of this.

However, she conveniently ignores the fact that Northern Ireland voted by a clear majority to remain. She, therefore, has no mandate to speak as she did.

It is galling to hear her; she should respect the majority of the population of Northern Ireland.

And, if she cannot carry out her duty by representing them in their wishes, she should consider her position and resign - just as David Cameron has done.
