Foster should own up to mistakes and quit

The events of the last several months, including the outcome of the election, require an immediate change, both of the leader of the DUP and Arlene Foster as a candidate for the Office of First Minister.

Mrs Foster, despite her denials, must bear responsibility for problems on her watch - especially when these are so serious.

We are now exposed to the problems of not only no new Executive, but also unsolved problems in many aspects of government, including health, plus protecting our interests with Brexit negotiations and the economy generally and, maybe worst of all, the risk to our Union with the rest of the United Kingdom.

Mrs Foster has stated, in the context of Cash for Ash, a desire to protect her integrity, so let us hope, like Mike Nesbitt, she displays some integrity and resigns.
