Rory McIlroy is in a dilemma: if he plays in the Olympics for Ireland, he upsets the British; if he plays for the British, he upsets the Irish.
Take the Irish boxer Katie Taylor. She has not turned professional, because if she does, she will not be allowed compete in the next Olympics.
McIlroy should not be allowed play in the Olympics, nor should any other professional golfer - the Olympics is for amateur sportspeople.
