Gatland missed mark with Brian

Published 10/07/2013

THE Lions won the series – fair play (Sport, July 8). But the casting aside of one of the best players to ever pull on a pair of boots gave a hollow sound to the pride's roar.

Had he taken a measure of Brian and then looked again at his own decision, he might have been less shocked by the reaction to his petty and small-minded act.
