Linda Stewart's report on motorists’ attitudes (Belfast Telegraph July 31) makes chilling reading. The first problem to tackle is the boy-racers.
Many appear unemployed but able to drive around 24 hours a day to satisfy their own egos, many with clapped-out cars with visible pollution pouring from their exhausts.
The PSNI appeard unwilling or unable to stamp this out. What is required is a new law: improper use of a motor vehicle. The penalty should be confiscation and crushing!
If motorists can't do the right thing, it's time to get tough.
