Girl should have right to abortion

Published 13/10/2015

The 12-year-old child who became pregnant by a criminal act - rape - should, if her parents or guardians desire, have a termination.

As she is only a child, the parents or guardians are the only ones who have that decision to make.

If she is refused the operation in Northern Ireland, then she should go to England, have the operation and all expenses should be reimbursed by the Northern Ireland health service.
