Global apology is required for horror of Tuam

The horrific events of abuse of innocent infants in Tuam (and other such institutions) have now become international news, with the responsibility for this horror, lying squarely on the Church and State of the Republic of Ireland.

It must now surely behold a high ranking member of the Catholic Church, along with a representative of equal-standing from the Irish Government, to make a public apology to the world, that they failed the Irish nation, in not only allowing this inhumane abuse to happen, but went out of their way to cover it up.
